The “Kar2er” has been a network for top industry executives in German-speaking countries since 2002.
In January 2017, Michael Kurzeja (Kurzeja & Cie.), Dr. Louis Klein (SEgroup) and Dirk Laforet joined forces to expand the network’s offering. We gave the network the name ManufacturingExcellence4Executives – me4e for short.
Excellence requires dialog – excellence is created through interaction and exchange. This conviction and experience has brought us together in the pursuit of manufacturing excellence.
Dialogue needs a framework – We have joined forces to make this network possible. We manage the formats, we send out the invitations, we moderate the dialog. In short, we take care of everything.
The Kar2er mountain tours
On two weekends a year, we meet as part of our network in the Karwendel to set off together to the various mountain huts in our tried-and-tested Kar2 format. We conduct our dialog outside in nature and also enjoy the magnificent panoramas. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants for the valuable weekends in previous years.
From July 7 to 9, 2023, we once again took a break from everyday life to get out into nature and on the way to the Falkenhütte to broaden our view again in dialog with like-minded people and to receive new impulses and food for thought. It was excellent! Many thanks to the participants! We will continue next year!
Our benchmark visits
On September 13 and 14, we met for a benchmark visit at Pfeiffer Vacuum in Asslar. Dr. Michael Thierschmann (General Manager Operations Asslar) had the idea for this on our last Kar2 mountain tour.
We also had the opportunity to visit the kitchen manufacturer Nobilia in Verl, East Westphalia, on November 8 and 9. It was another very successful exchange of experiences! Many thanks to Frank Kramer (Managing Director Technology) and Christian Borgelt (Plant Manager Verl) for this!
